Write: A Message in a Bottle

Dear Readers,
I would like to take a small moment to write about the purpose of my diary. To lay bare my insecurities. I think I already have mentioned this in previous posts. But I was hoping to write about it again.
I was hoping that this blog would be a bit of a digital diary. A blog that I never want to monetise. So, it will be a good read with ads in your face to ruin the momentum. Instead, I want to leave a bit of a digital footprint of my attempt at a writing career. Though now I’ve found out that this blog is only around for as long as I pay Wix. So, it's more of a digital footprint that gets filled with snow if I don’t consciously reapply some effort (in this case, money).
You know, I’m not sure if I’ll make it as a writer. Or even how long my funds can support my writing career. Because as I’ve found out, paying editors and Wix for their services can be quite expensive. And, unfortunately, I got injured and am waiting for surgery or any other means that the specialist decides to fix it. This means that I can’t work currently. So, if I don’t see some returns for my art, I might have to stop altogether.
Until then, I’m sending out this blog like a message in a bottle. Sending it out into the internet or the “digital sea”. Both hoping and fearing if/when someone will find it and read it.
For those reading this, I am so happy that you have found my digital footprint before it fills up with snow. I really hope you enjoy reading and following me on my journey. And thank you for your support! It really means a lot to me.
To finish this post, I wanted to attach one of my childhood poems:
Our Big-Small Full-Time Farm
Cautious Sheep and
Curious Cows,
Is a part of our farm now.
A Boisterous Collie and
A Lazy Cavalier Spaniel,
None of them came with a manual.
A Parkour Cat and
Resilient Bees,
All of our animals have vibrant personalities.
Houdini Chickens and
Foodie Pigs,
Our farm isn’t small, but it isn’t big.
A Squatter Morpork and
A Jittery Bunny,
None of our animals pay any rent in money.
Hydrated Ducks and
A Skeleton of a Dog,
Having our farm is a full-time job.
